 Snow It was interesting how tight the bands of heavy vs not-so were. When GS1 and SIL came to help Pop dig out, they were surprised. Eight miles away they had about half of what we got. In my yard, unofficially, 19 inches of white stuff came down overnight Sunday to Monday.  My honey had to go it alone. He used the snow thrower but as the day passed, the water content of this snow made it difficult to get some distance, rendering the machine "almost" useless. There's an Expedition (SUV/truck) under that snow. It looked like we added a conversion top! When the boys arrived, they cleaned off the vehicles, moved more snow and for a while the cars were clean, half of the driveway usable. The other half will simply need to wait for melting.  My view out the window from my recliner as I was not allowed to participate. I f you squint, you can see my reflection.  Well, here I am folks, 11 days in to being the bionic woman. Hubby mimics the "Six Million Dollar" man's jumping theme as I tool around the house on my walker. I'm upgraded to a cane twice a day in the kitchen only for practice walking and free to stroll the bathroom, all 16 square feet of it sans support. I've kept a grin on my face most days watching him try to care for both of us when it's usually the other way around. Today I took on a bit of pulling dinner together from pre-baked meatloaf and I nuked whole potatoes, peeled and mashed them. He supplied the equipment.  I notice his deficits more since I can't do things. He's noticing them too, and is feeling a bit low about it. Ten years ago I didn't think he'd make 65 and here he is turning 75 this year! The work was hard, but rewarding. DD1's family came over on Valentines day for a visit, and that's about it.  I had a blast. My elder daughter took me to a painting party as a treat before my surgery (tomorrow).  We painted Highland cows on tote bags. I have some art skills and can copy what someone else does.  The highlight of this party was the fact that we had mini-Highland cows to interact with!
