I've been on this journey for 18 weeks. Perhaps about 6 weeks in on Foundao, a two or three week pause for recovery from dehydration issues after 9 on Zepbound. Four months and I've lost 19 pounds.
What works:
A caring doctor. She tried two of the drugs herself and was honest about the side effects. They interfered with her life (new mom, fledgling career) so she'd stopped her own trial. As a non-working person, she felt I could handle things that came up.
I didn't think sleep apnea could be something good, but it allowed my insurance to approve the drugs.
Having a spouse who supports your journey and notices progress.
Changing my mind about what food is for.
What doesn't work:
Uh, I've got nothin'.
Now for some NSVs.
I am wearing a T-shirt I bought in Ireland in 2009. I've never been able to wear it.
I cleaned out my closet, admittedly a lot of old work clothes and sweatpants, and donated three bags to the donation box.
I can pull off my jeans and jeans shorts without unbuttoning them. Why would I do that? Because I'd been wearing yoga pants for so long I forgot I was wearing things that had buttons and zippers!
I am appreciating this slow loss. I have no expectations that my skin will bounce back in any way; at 72 that collagen skill is gone. I'm going to have batwing arms and wrinkly elephant knees. My face has thinned out and fortunately I'm not as jowly as I expected.
The journey continues.
You've done well on this journey and appreciate your sharing it! Good job on the NSVs.

I have to laugh about the way jeans and shorts now fit... I remember that phase! And I know how it works in reverse, too! I am pleased that you have shared "the skinny" on how it really is on these GLP-1 drugs!
