Just in case you were interested. I finished painting the living room today! I am soooooooo tired and cranky but the house looks refreshed. The color, when dry and having all the walls the same color, now looks more of a light toast than butterscotch. It softens the wood furniture and wood trim as opposed to making them stand out. With the price of furniture, I'll be living with my early American/country oak tables and entertainment unit for a long time! Now on to placing the two tiles in the foyer. DH got the tiles cut at his brothers and I'll install them tomorrow. Then all I have to do is wait for my new carpeting. It's the weekend of the 4th. We've no plans and I'm hoping my pool warms up a bit. This time last year I had been in it for a month. I may stick my toes in tomorrow, but gee it's cold! Have a great weekend all.
I will forgive her. The beets are all gone. The peppers have not been touched. She ate the tender center leaves out of my zucchini plants as well as chomped on the very fruit I went out to pick yesterday morning. Halved the butternut squash plants. She likes Roma tomato leaves but spit out the tomatoes on my patio. Hostas must have been desert. I'm missing 2 more plants. I saw her today with her TWINS! Next year I'm building a new garden with a 7 foot fencing that I can enter. It will probably take ten years to realize the cost paid.

Time for some updates. I finished painting 1/2 of what I need to. It took me two weeks and now I'm working on the living room. I'm also patching old cracks or dings. I will never have to paint this again! Oh, deer! The doe visited again last night. Funny how DH and I wake up sensing a "change in the force", but always too late! She ate the tops off half my beets, some green beans in the background and more zucchini leaves than I expected (they are spiny). My grands were over yesterday after we took them to lunch. These two built Washington DC out of kitchen cups and oddities. A portable mini fan kept the flag blowing on the Capitol made of plastic candles. Tissue box was Union Station, the pole for my skylight was the train track and a skein of yarn was a train. The Washington monument is the pink cup. Oh, to be imaginative again! Grand dog Chewy from DD2's family sent his hellos. Here's the entire family of grands while they waited for their ride to the airp
Hi, all! I have only a quick note for updates. My beloved neighbor, Ruth, is back home once again. She broke her hip again in January (that makes 3 hip breaks, a femur and 2 compound fractures of the ankle in the past 10 years.) She can walk with a walker! She was as happy to see me as I was her. Her hearing is not good so it was fun to chat with her. Her mind is as sharp as ever. We are invited to her birthday party next month when she turns 100! My beloved carpeting is being replaced in a few weeks. That has caused me to paint...about half the interior of the house as it's open concept. DH bought me a ladder that is extremely light and has platform steps. Isn't he nice to help? LOL! The man breaks out in hives at the thought of painting. Getting my steps, up, down and in length has been great as well as the platform steps being better on my knees. What arm, shoulder and back exercises I get using the roller and lifting the 16 pound ladder (correctly). My glutes hurt. My abs
