Yeah, it's been a while.

I've been to Oklahoma and Texas in the past few weeks on another road trip, gaining another state for my map. OK was OK by me in OK City. We went to the bombing memorial and museum

On to Dallas for JFK memorial, the "grassy knoll'' and the 6th Floor window view.

George W Bush Presidential Library

Waco Texas, not just for Magnolia Farms

a boat tour on the Brazos River.

Dr Pepper Museum,

An oil rig in Galveston TX

Duck boat ride

and the view from our room!

Another good time was had by all!

  2. What a great choice for your OK site. I still remember right where I was when the radio was covering the OK City bombing. I have a cousin whose hubby worked down the block from there and was knocked off his seat as the windows blew out. Seems like one always knows someone who was in the neighborhood of the disaster de jour... a different cousin was in London when the subway bombing happened... and there are a whole slew of you folks that I got to know because of hurricanes or 9/11, or any number of "bad things that happen that need to be talked over in the larger Interwebs". Back when we didn't line up along fault lines in society, if I remember, but worried more about the individuals to whom this all happened. But boy, I have veered off course here!

    Great Texas sites, too.

Onward while I go check out the other blog in this "two-fer"!

  3. Great photos as always! (although I would recommend taking your triple overpass photo from the grassy median, doesn't show the debris at the curb ;-) Seriously, I found the Sixth Floor Museum fascinating as my dad was a big Warren Commission booster
