Dear Diary,
2 days in and already I'm getting the idea!
Now I will try to get my man to accommodate my evening meal time. He's on a different life schedule than I since he's got a host of medical issues. We'll work it out.
A 16/8 schedule seems very doable for me on days when nothing is scheduled. I'm hoping I learn that I don't need as much food as I've been eating which will help me out on busy days when I have to 'grab n go' or am inclined to dine out.
In other news, my snowman no longer lit and I didn't have the energy to troubleshoot his 500 lights. He went to the curb and shortly was rescued by someone who will enjoy him! The old strings of lights I used on my house hit the trash. The bulbs kept filling with water, freezing and popping off. Unsafe. That was an easy de-Christmasing!
By the way, did you see the latest health article about hydration and aging?

Some of us already knew that!

Yes, some of us already knew that! Drink up! I look forward to seeing how your 16/8 works for you. The little app I'm using shows weekly averages (after you've been using it for a while), and I've been interested to see how my average fast times went:
ReplyDeleteWeek 1: 14.89
Week 2: 15.7
Week 3: 16.05
Week 4: 16.97 (Thanksgiving was in this week)
Week 5: 16.92
Week 6: 16.87
Week 7: 17.08
Week 8: 18.04
Week 9: 17.65 (Christmas started this week, New Years Eve ended it)
So, yes, I'm varying, to adjust for social things, and also stretching my fast muscle. I'm not in a hurry to extend it beyond pretty much what I'm doing now. Some people fast longer, but this feels pretty OK to me.
Good luck... I'm following with interest!
I naturally did I.F. all my life and got messed up when I was encouraged to eat 3 meals a day. Now my blood sugar is messed up. I am putting all of my holiday decor in new plastic tubs.
